Dan and I shared the history of loadshedding according to the EskomSePush app. We believe it to be accurate.
The hope is that by being open with the data, someone can do something interesting with it.
Here it is for free, but let me know how you use it: Google sheet
Since sharing the data many people have done cool things with the data. Here are some examples:
Chart of the week: SA has experienced its worst load shedding this year, with total gigawatt hours shed surpassing the 2019 record in Aug. Cumulative shedding for 2020 is already 23% worse than 2019 – even though real GDP is currently about 9% lower than it was this time in 2019 pic.twitter.com/ddlk3VI01K— SA Reserve Bank (@SAReserveBank) September 18, 2020
@EskomSePush I took a fun approach to the load shedding stage data you released. See some of the interesting insights... Stage 1 usually lasts 5.59 hours on average and goes to stage 2 30% of the time. pic.twitter.com/DH46SfNMsP— Dean Matter (@whodeanme) February 21, 2020
